Manifesto

I am reluctant to prescribe anything to anyone but I get so many requests I’ve just had to give in. We all have to compromise in the end, delegates, so here it is, ‘Jeremy’s Manifesto’: 1.Government should be abolished. But I know that’s not terribly likely for now.
2. Companies should be abolished. And that’s not terribly likely either.

3. Sole Trading should be the only form of legal entity, with personal tax genuinely personal enabling you to determine how your tax payments are spent. iTithing (doing things for strangers) will earn tax credits at the average charge-out rate of a top law or consulting firm (c.$400 plus GST).

4. Employment should be abolished – everyone should be a Sole Trader. People are better alone. It’s only when we get together we start talking nonsense.

5. SLAs (Service Level Agreements) will replace all forms of Government, Business and Employment connecting us all on terms we set, with one compulsory enforceable clause: ‘do unto others …’.

6. Bicycles will be the sole method of transport with combustion engine usage allowed only to people who cannot ride bikes.
7. Mining of all things in the ground should stop immediately. We have enough stuff.

8. Politics should be subject to a 10 year moratorium to see if SLAs work better for humans, animals and the planet we inhabit for now.

9. Yoga, tai chi and gymnastics should be compulsory, daily, and attract a tax credit of half the average charge-out rate of a top tier law or consulting firm (c.$400 plus GST).

10. Education should require everyone to read a book per day, make one thing with their hands every week and spend an hour a day singing or making music.

11. All guns, arms, mines, poisons and chemicals should be gathered in, recycled and redeployed for a better purpose, starting now.

12. Sudoku should be banned. Chess should be compulsory, at least weekly. All computers, video games and other screen ‘fun’ must be offset by a ten-fold period spent outdoors in motion of some form.

13. Love making should be happy, unrestrained and regular.

Note: On 1 January 2008, the world should stop to enable itself to make arrangements for the smooth transition to the new order of things.
